Pro Dredging and Marine was founded by Johan Pronk, who in 2009 retired from a 35 year international dredging career. Johan has held operational and managerial positions within industry leading dredging companies, and been involved with some of the World’s foremost construction developments. With considerable experience in Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia as a dredging and reclamation consultant, his long association with the region has developed a detailed and extensive knowledge of all major Australasian dredging and reclamation projects.
For contractual matters David Kinlan is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (UK) and Queensland Registered Adjudicator with 25 years experience in the civil and marine infrastructure industry. Employed for many years by Ballast Nedam Dredging as a Contracts Administrator he has been involved in many iconic dredging projects in the last 18 years, starting with the ‘dredging contract of the century’ in 1992, which was the Site Preparation Contract for the new International Airport in Hong Kong now known as Chek Lap Kok.
David was posted to Malaysia between 1997 and 1999 as Contract Manager for the first stage of the construction of a new container port at the greenfield site of Tanjung Pelepas, which also involved soil improvement, surcharging and other civil subcontract work. Over the past nine years David has become increasingly involved in tenders and contracts for Australia and New Zealand, and in particular those supporting the expansion of the Resources Sector in Western Australia. He established himself in Brisbane in 2008 and offers all-round tender, contract and project management services, including advice and support for contractual claims. Kor Kop has almost twenty years of practical worldwide experience working on cutter suction dredgers. A bachelor in civil engineering, he was employed for more than 10 years as a Senior Production Estimator. This has involved him in many tenders and projects worldwide, with a particular focus on all major tenders for projects in Asia and Australia. His knowledge of the technical capabilities of all dredgers in the dredging industry is extensive and unequalled. Kor is now retired and will provide part-time supporting services to ‘Pro Dredging and Marine’ for production calculations, methodology, planning and scheduling of dredging and reclamation consultants projects, optimalisation of the execution of projects.
